dissatisfied.

bila bercakap pasal etika kerja, what would come to your mind?

adakah etika kerja yang bagus bermakna:

kau berada di pejabat cukup jam kerja yang sepatutnya?
kerja kau siap mengikut masa yang dikehendaki?
kau amanah, tidak mengular pada waktu kerja?
dokumentasi dan filing kau awesome nak arwah?

i strongly feel i need more than just that to be ethical.
aku kini seorang ketua jabatan.
anak buah aku tak ramai.
tapi bukan mudah menyelia orang yang sudahlah lebih berusia daripada kau.
malah berperasaan mereka selalunya betul.

payah nak menegur mereka.
kadang kau bukan tegur pun.
sekadar memberikan ulasan dan cadangan untuk pemantapan kaedah pengajaran.

i was talking from my point of view.
i was there, and i was telling you what i saw.

sebagai pekerja yang kononnya beretika, boleh tak jika kau bagi peluang untuk aku bercakap apa yang aku lihat, and look at yourself? jangan buat muka tak suka, tak puas hati dan membangkang sebelum habis aku jelaskan.

haih.

i was there, and i couldn't understand a bit of your language.
so i wonder in what way are you actually helping them to succeed.

the subject is tough, fine.
their proficiency level is not helping, okay.

but you as the educator, it's your responsibility to lower down yourself to their level.
try to understand, and try to put yourself in their shoes.
and try to find ways to help.

that's what we, educators do.
kalau diri sendiri pun tak boleh ditegur dan dibetulkan,

what makes you think they can be corrected?

ya Allah.
aku minta dijauhkan sifat degil, ego dan sombong.
having all these is going to kill not only my career.
but myself.
